You would often catch Greg Kihn at the Keystone, The Stone, The Old Waldorf, The Catalyst, etc. Before the "Break-Up Song" hit it big, Greg Kihn was building a loyal following. This release finally gets fans digital copies of "Madison Avenue Man", "Remember", "Rendezvous", "In The Naked Eye", and then the other songs from his breakout album RockihnRoll. With a CD to be released in May 2012, the mp3's are out now which is a treat. While Greg is now a DJ in the Bay Area, he still plays occasionally although the original band has lost guitarist Dave Carpender in 2007. An overlooked band with lots of great songs but was best suited for smaller clubs than arenas. Of course, the success did cause troubles with substance abuse and then the loss of well crafted tunes, the early tunes are a testament to the rockin' songs the band played prior to becoming an AOR favorite. Enjoy! |
