The CD contains 24 tracks, hand-picked by the Marley family and Chris Blackwell, gathering together some of the most significant musical moments of one of the most beloved and cherished artists of all-time. Featured are classic studio recordings, a special Kindred Spirit dub mix of "Exodus" and tracks from various live performances including, for the first time on record, the 1978 One Love Peace Concert performance of "Jammin'" during which Marley joined the hands of bitter political rivals Michael Manley and Edward Seaga, a gesture which went some way towards restoring peace to a strife-torn Jamaica

| 8 of 9 people found the following review helpful  A Decent, if Brief Overview of Marley's Musical Life, By This review is from: Marley - Original Soundtrack (Audio CD) I have TONS of Bob Marley and The Wailers CDs and never tire listening to them.This CD is a mix which chronicles Marley's live shows and studio recordings and is the backdrop for the documentary on this reggae legend. It takes you from his RockSteady/Ska beginnings to what ultimately morphed into Reggae. The Jammin cut is a previously unreleased version culled from his 1978 One Love Peace Concert. There are several mixes that are on this CD that don't appear on any of the other CDs I have. If you have lots of Bob Marley and the Wailers music as I do, you may already have many of these tunes in your collection. Having said that, some of the mixes seem to be new and if you like them, this CD may be worth it to you to purchase. It is very difficult to tell the musical story of Bob Marley and the Wailers in a mere 24 tracks, but this is a soundtrack to a movie and there are only so many tracks that can be used here. If...
