Product Description
Following in the footsteps of his critically acclaimed, Grammy-nominated Up On The Ridge album, Dierks Bentley will release his sixth studio album of new music on February 7th, Home. The inspiring video for the upcoming album's anthemic title single, "Home," features iconic images of both the history and humanity of America. "My home is in Nashville with my family, my home is on the road with our fans and my home is definitely in country music," said Dierks. "This album is more than a year's worth of writing, recording and testing out material on the road in front of our hard core fans. The end result is an album that runs through all the types of country songs and sounds I enjoy singing and playing. I can't wait to share it with the fans!" "Home" follows the disc's lead single "Am I The Only One," which marked Dierks' eighth career #1 hit. Both songs will be included on the 12-song album, as well as a special duet, "When You Gonna Come Around," with Karen Fairchild from Little Big Town.

Follow up albums Modern Day Drifter and Long Trip Alone were both great, showing strides vocally, but all three followed a pretty good formula--a handful of really sorrowful hurtin' love songs (with a touch of optimism on a track or two) and a handful of fun, catchy diddies. More upbeat than any of his previous albums it was still a good rockin' addition to his discography. Up on the Ridge was a natural and beautiful progression. Many people were hung up on the title of "bluegrass" album but really, it was right up Bentley's alley. The reason why I brought up his past was to understand "Home", his newest album. I'm all for artists growing, adapting, and trying something new. That's not "Home". I'm all for artists sticking to what they do well. That's not "Home"... Not a bad song in the bunch! I've got it on my iPod and in the vehicle I use for commuting - "Thinking of You", "5150", and "Home" are a few of my favorites on the CD. Enjoy! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Home (Audio CD) There are several good selections on this CD but HOME gets my vote for a down-to-earth anthem about the most important place in our lives - HOME. Nicely done by Dierks Bentley. |
