I think 2010 is the new golden era of hip hop with rappers like Big K.R.I.T, Freddie Gibbs, Currensy, and Jay Electronica leading the pack. Like the aforementioned artists, Big K.R.I.T. is independent and comes with 100% high quality work. Following David Banner's lead, K.R.I.T. comes out of Mississippi, produces all his own beats, and delivers intelligent and insightful lyrics with the passion of somebody who is hungry. It's so great to see this resurrection of hip hop. "Krit Wuz Here" is definitely within the top 3 best hip hop albums of 2010. Support independent artists and buy this album! Clay "mrdeepcover" (chi-town) - See all my reviews    Man, I read about this cd on one of the hip-hop sites and thought well maybe I'll check it out. I listened on-line and was blown away. I stop playing it on-line because I knew I had to have it. K.R.I.T is a rapper and a producer, I don't know which one he does best. That is a amazing feat. His lyrics are smooth with a southern swagger that reminds me of Pimp C...r.i.p. but he is not emulating. The second factor is his production skills that are creative with that good low bass that you can feel. I really hope his major label debut continues with this format.
